How psychotherapy got me back on track

I’ve described before how burnout hit me pretty bad and how it brought me to the darkest place in my life. Luckily, I received a lot of support from friends, family and colleagues, but for some aspects their help simply wouldn’t be sufficient. Despite everyone’s good intentions, their view will always be biased, as they usually look at the situation from a very similar perspective as your own. For an outsider perspective, I had to rely on professional help, something that was totally new for me…

How things all came to be…

It’s been a while since I posted something in this category, and as I mentioned before, here I plan to post experiences, thought, reflections and so on, if and when I feel like doing so. While I’ve “declared” the burn-out as more or less under control about a 100 days ago, obviously it’s by far not all behind me. I’m not even sure if it will ever be, or if I’d even want it to ever be. That might seem weird at first, but I’ve learned so much from going through a burnout, about myself, about how to take better care of myself, about things in life which are important and which are much less…

Habanero Season 2022

I just realised now that I haven’t mentioned one word about the ongoing Habanero Season, shame on me! The season in fact started in early march here, and we’re approaching the 100 days mark since seeding.

This season, I truly wanted to have a proper Habanero season, so I ordered 5 different types of Habanero, and Habanada for the fun of it. The latter is the non-spicy version of Habanero, which has all the flavour but none of the burning. Bonsai bell peppers if you wish!

Upcoming talks

The samples we recently showcased at our Future Summits conference will soon be presented in two upcoming conferences. With these samples we illustrate how costly standard CMOS processes can be simplified with much fewer process steps using nanoimprint lithography. We benchmark both samples side by side for optical performance for multispectral imaging applications.
